Saturday morning we got up early to worked out at the Igbo fitness boot camp, which was grand.
The Afternoon was filled with a lot of Igbo grown knowledge. The Nzuko Ndi be anyi: Gathering of the Minds seminar really shed light on the brilliance and resilience of the Igbo culture.
Our favorite seminar was the one focused on entrepreneurship. It was great to hear from Igbo #GirlBoss like Ngozi from DC’s very own Heat Free hair. She and the fellow entrepreneurs really let us know that all Igbo kids don’t have to be doctors and lawyers; we can use those same degrees to become our own bosses.
The evening ended with the colorful Banquet, Flavour Concert and After Party.
We truly enjoyed the Flavour concert even though he was late; it was refreshing to see a Nigerian artist who sang even better in person. Flavour is really the future of modern Igbo music.
