After the Brooklyn Museum we decided to a quick bite to eat from a local African or Caribbean restaurant. We asked a of any local authentic Afro-Caribbean restaurants near the museum.
We knew that the lady would send us in the right direction because we always seem to attract the right energy and the right people especially when we travel. She gave us to options, Jamaican or Senegalese and we deiced to go with Senegalese cuisine because we know we could always get good Jamaican food back home.
It took us approximately 15 to 20m insights to get here there. When we finally made it Bedford Ave we were feeling lost and discouraged but we decided to keep going.
As soon as we felt like giving up we turned around and look up and see a mural with African textiles and automatic knew it was the Senegalese restaurant we had been looking for.
We looked up to God and laughed.
The ambiance of the restaurant was priceless. The enrapture experience made as feel as though we had traveled to Senegal for a few hours.
It was dimly lit with curtains made of african fabric, and each wall was adorned with various african masks. Our favorite element of the decor was the light fixtures they created our of the calabash instrument.
My sister and I sat indoor, closets tho a window and right the bar. So we could enjoy the view of the neighborhood and change our call phones.
Because we were really craving fish, we decide to order “Branzino Grille”, which came with sweet plaiting and white rice.
Let me tell you that the piece of fish was soon delicious the both of us practically devour the entire thing, down to each eyeball lol
As we were waiting fro our food we glanced around the room, we noticed that the actor Jesse Williams from Grey’s Anatomy was also dinning with his wife and baby boy. We proceed to calm ourselves and not act like groupies Lol
